In times of frantic changes and subsequent disorientation, tradition is required. It provides clarity, and guides us towards the right direction. However, that tradition can be a chokehold at times. It may prevent growth and adaptation. At Vivekabharathi, we understand the importance of tradition, and at the same time, recognize where and how it may hold us back. Our founders, Ramesh Jagannathan, M. Phil, and Dr. Lakshmi Narasimhan, Doctorate in Healthcare Administration, try to understand the complex ways in which our pasts and futures are interlinked, and discuss how we can best maximize our success while utilizing the values of tradition.
We believe the right morals and proper health can push people towards great heights. This statement is applicable for anyone of any background. Our citizens are the pillars of society, and play a fundamental part in our existence and survival. Vivekabharathi believes in inclusion and acceptance. Following the footsteps of Swami Vivekanandha and Subramania Bharathi, we discuss how any and all parts of society can improve with the right values, resources, and opportunities.
Every part of society can be recognized and celebrated. We honour the artist and the crafter, the teacher and the worker, the business-runner and show-runner, the reader and the writer and simply put, all human beings that silently or openly, knowingly or unknowingly contribute towards the betterment of society.
"A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep
Full of weet dreams, and heald, and quiet breathing.
-John Keats"
Here, as beautifully shared by Keats, a vision shared by the majority of the living, we consider the Earth in itself as a Thing of Beauty. No man-made pollution or natural disaster can erase the hope and love on the Earth, which remains an example for all of us to follow perseverance and remain ethical. Through practice and much thought, we can find how best to maintain peace and harmony, remain disciplined and with integrity, and nurture our nature.
